@randomwizard@vivaldi.net it is definitely much slower paced. I also tried it a couple of weeks ago, after my partner and I were talking about how much I loved Burning Crusade's Outland.
I did the island expedition with a new character (troll shaman), and while the character skill trees have modernized and the grind for the low-level fetch quests no longer have terrible RNG (e.g., 'kill 100 boars to collect 6 meat') the combat and GCT are so slow. there's like an inevitability in fighting something just slightly too powerful for your character, like an impending train of doom as you watch the race to see whose health bar depletes first.
it was okay, probably more fun with even one more person (the endless side quests were always something I enjoyed), but definitely much slower paced than i remembered.
