About me

I am a middle-aged male (he/him) living in the US. I am left-oriented and like virtually everyone my age, I have a lot of interests and many hobbies that I cycle through.

I am generally socially reserved and private, though I enjoy social interactions.

Computing is a significant part of my life, for good or ill.

Hobbies

I play a lot of computer games but my taste is eccentric, and I don't normally play computer games for social interaction.

I like UNIX-likes and to some degree linux, though I absolutely do not like the direction the linux community is headed as many projects fall under the umbrella of influence of corporate interests.

Tabletop roleplaying games were a large hobby of mine in past years, but are less of an interest currently.

I used to participate in a podcast with friends of mine in Europe that focused on "old-school", though these days I mainly edit the audio.

As mentioned above, I have a lot of other interests that wax and wane with my moods.
