There is something way more interesting happening in G1 than fighting hill giants. Area 17A is a weird temple to some chaos god or unknown entity. If I were to run this module I would have the temple the PCs goal. How they get there is up to them. #DnD #DungeonsAndDragons #TTRPG
OK, WTF? Now Free League *also* has an Elric game, based on Dragonbane which is based on BRP, so it's not completely unlike Stormbringer.

I have less than zero interest in a "D&D" adaptation, & DCC's my 2nd least favorite "OSR-adjacent" game (Castles & Crusades is worse).
This is just fucking weird. Just go back to Stormbringer 1st Ed, it's the best.

Finished my first proof pass of Carcass: Broken Sky (Praxis). It has 17 playbooks to choose from, so it’ll have even more replayability than most Praxis games.
Can’t wait until it gets released. Not that I can get anyone to try Praxis, but it’s the best one shot story game nobody talks about.
I want to get some actual plays recorded, but I need to figure out technical details.

No registration, open source, somewhat system independent. Looks like a good replacement for the old Owlbear Rodeo when you just want to display and reveal maps, move tokens around, have some simple initiative tracking.
The interesting bits about these smaller ones is the way they differ, their own approaches to usability and the playing experience. Bits I've noticed:
- Token management has some good ideas. When you start dragging tokens to the map, they stay selected, so you could give all the "new arrivals" the same label, status, hide them, move them in a group etc.
- Speaking of labels, if you add multiple tokens with the same or no label, they get "numbered" starting from "A", which means you can quickly distinguish between 5 goblins
- Drawing circles, cones, lines etc. is easy and you can style them quickly with just an outline or a hatched fill. That's often surprisingly hard in the big VTTs.

A shipping, one-book, complete version of RoleMaster (RMC is 3-6 books, RMFRP is incomplete, RMU is 4 books now & incomplete).
Similarly, a one-book, readable version of Kult 1st Ed (maybe 2nd? Hard to say since it was unreadable silver-on-silver printing). There is nothing wrong with black-on-white printing!
And I want West End Games back, making D6 system books. Maybe with more personality than the generic Fantasy, Space, etc. books.

I've been noodling on my post-apocalypse setting for a long time. It started in Gamma World, the 2nd RPG I played back in 1978, but mostly my sorta-cyberpunk/crime drama Shotguns & Strip Malls game (wsa on my old site, but I've never cleaned it up for remake), & Sector 7 (obvious FF7 ripoff as pseudo-D&D), from 2000-ish. Current version is HackWaste, which I work on whenever I'm feeling really bad about the future.
BUT. I can't beat it. Everything terrible I come up with, is real now.

Reading: New edition of TMNT. The books are *SO* lovely, & it's just a fun crunchy game to fool around with. Very little chance of running it soon, tho.
