was again thinking about playing Traveller (MgT 1st) or Cepheus Engine soon.
Cepheus Engine has the benefit of being available for free, in files that can be modified. On the other hand MgT has the life events in it's careers, which I always enjoyed for creating a fully fleshed out character.
they are otherwise pretty similar to each other, although I guess the way CE makes characters gives slightly less skilled characters. Hmmmm...

Traveler's notebook for my #dungeonmaster notes is finished! The leather I got a loooooong time ago gave me some trouble. If I hadn't have that one lying here in my stash, I'd have opted for some vegan alternative for sure, most likely some plant based material. Not only that's the more animal friendly way to go, it's also much less trouble to work with.

It's probably just nostalgia talking, but despite all the advances in #TTRPG graphic design over the years, I've never seen hex maps I liked more then the old Judge's Guild wilderness hex maps.
Brown ink on textured brown paper. There were GM and players versions, both in lovely fold-out four page maps.
A really nice fan version of Robert E. Howard's Hyborian Age. Available in high-res versions

I've taken Diabolox, the modern horror #CepheusEngine setting from Michael Brown, added some custom rules, and made a custom character sheet.
It's all based on a weird horror movie from 1970 called Equinox.
I highly recommend all Traveller GMs listen to the BBC radio show Cabin Pressure. It’s got great examples of an independent crew trying to provide high passage. Except it’s a charter airline, but much of the dynamics apply.
And for extra fun I think it’s the most hilarious role Benedict Cumberbatch ever played.
